About My Travels

Shortly after I started my business, I took off on a 6 month trip to Europe, specifically to Croatia and Italy. Working remotely and trying to build a sustainable business was very stressful and I while it was an amazing experience, I was glad to get back to the USA.

In addition to my overseas travels, I’ve also taken extended trips up and down the midwest, southeast, and out west to the mountains as well as California. Check out more on my past and recent travels here

My Musical Passions

From a very young age, my family encouraged music in our household as well as musical training. By the age of 13 I was taking piano lessons and participating in a children’s choir as a boy soprano.

In high school I went to singing competitions, sang in the choir, acted in musicals, and continued to receive formal voice training. I even auditioned for vocal scholarships at a few liberal arts colleges before deciding to go to school for business instead.

In recent years, I’ve joined a few semi-professional choirs, but not stuck with it as much as I’d like. These days most of my musical outlet is playing on this 100 year old Steinway that I purchased from a local music shop.

My Cooking

The first thing I ever learned how to cook was ‘toad in the hole’ (fried egg inside a cut out piece of bread). My grandmother was a wonderful cook (and role model) and my extended family have always been gifted in the art of cooking.

I find cooking to be one of the most meditative and satisfying things to do; from finding the perfect ingredients, to experimentation, to presenting the finished product to family and friends. I will say my one fault is on the baking side, I’ve never been good at following instructions.
